The wild beasties in Xenoblade Chronicles X are a big part of why I love the game so much and I want to celebrate them(while practicing various art techniques). Here is a project of 50 planned watercolor and gouache paintings featuring one of each species of the wildlife that can be encountered as enemies in XCX. Each will be represented by a specific Tyrant of that species that I felt was memorable for one reason or another.

I am not counting human and Ganglion mechs in this since those are not living animals, nor am I including any Xeno peoples. Some of these animals are not native to Mira (Telethia, Pharsis, etc) but are nonetheless living animals that are now a part of the world, so they will be included. The mechanoid species fal-swo, xe-dom and oc-serv are machines, but are apparently "living" machines that have been on Mira for a very long time, so they are being included as well.

Some paintings will have multiple species in them. Below is the planned list of tyrants and settings. I will link the paintings here as they are completed. I expect I won't finish this for a long time.

It contains the word most, and sounds like it contains all. It refers to something that has not quite happened yet, or not at all, not, none.

All, most and none. In one word. :iconmindblownplz:

Don't mind me, I'm just half asleep and doing some late-night pondering.
This journal will look stupid in the morning.

I'm still surprised I got a DD...Now I feel like I must paint better to justify it. It was this one: To Blow Your Brains Out by CrimzonLogic

So for about two weeks now when I rode my bike down a certain street, I've been seeing what looks like a dusty old dead gray dog lying on the curb in the same spot. At least, relatively close to the same spot. It's like it kept moving a few inches left or right every time I saw it. It was always lying in the same position, even though it was obviously moved by someone. I kept thinking: "Why is it still there after all this time, and who the hell keeps messing with it?" I was also starting to wonder why it didn't look like it was decomposing...

Well, now I know what the deal was. Today when I rode past the spot, the dog was still lying there. Only this time, it was licking itself. Yes. It's not a dead old dusty dog lying in the same spot every day. It's an alive old dusty dog lying in the same spot everyday. I guess the scraggly-haired little mutt just likes that shady spot on the grass for naps. Hah.

Now I will be suspicious of dogs forever.
