Battle With Envy

I don't watch a whole lot of anime. In fact the only anime I usually even consider watching is stuff by studio Ghibli. But recently I gave this one a shot, and "Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood" rocked my world. A lot. So much so that I set out on an epic quest across my home town and through the internet to acquire the entire series on dvd, which should have been virtually impossible since the dvds are expensive and i am quite poor. But somehow I managed to find all five dvd's for virtually free. Amazon and Ebay helped a lot there.

This was originally a watercolor painting which was completed over a week before it was submitted here, but since my camera is not equipped with the correct lens, I am unable to get a photo that shows the details and correct colors in the painting. I wasn't going to upload it, but then I started playing with it in the Gimp digital painting program. Everything in this painting except for the rocks and pillars was completely covered with color in Gimp. So I guess this counts as digital art, not traditional...

I find Envy's monster form completely AWESOME. And creepy. But mostly awesome. He's like a spider-saurus with a horse mane.

Easter egg hunt: look out for emoticons and plz account faces among the faces on Envy's side. There are five or six in there.

Oh yeah the characters are fighting in a sea of blood.
